National Means Cum Merit Scholarship Examination-2020 Result Declaration

The National Means cum Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMS) scheme for students studying in Std. 8 with the objective of reducing the drop out rate in secondary and higher secondary schools so that bright students with poor financial status in the state can complete their studies up to Std. 12 implemented from MHRD New Delhi.

National Means cum Merit Scholarship Examination-2020 was organized on 14/03/2021 (Sunday) from 11.00 am to 12.00 pm at all taluka centers of the state.

The provisional answer key of this examination as well as the OMR of the student was published on the website of the office on 05/04/2021. If the student wants to submit against any question / provisional answer key answer of this exam question paper. So fill in all the details in the prescribed form from 05/04/2021 (12.30.00 noon) to 10/04/2021 (23.59.59 hours at night) and follow the required valid grounds online at the link given on the website. Instructed to upload and send.

All the submissions received against the answer to any question / provisional answer key of the question paper were placed before the expert committee. The expert committee examined all the representations and grounds and recommended to amend some of the answers given in the Provisional Answer Key. Pursuant to which the office has revised the answers on the basis of the recommendation of the expert committee and the final answer key is published on the website of the board on 13/05/2021.

The result and merit list of National Means cum Merit Scholarship Examination-2020 conducted by the State Examination Board on 14/03/2021 (Sunday) is announced on the Board's website on 13/05/2021 with the following details.

Rules for preparation of Qualifying Marks and Merit List:

  • N.M.M.S. Out of the total marks of both the sections in the examination, the minimum marks are 40% marks (72 marks) for General as well as OBC category. SC, ST And Ph.D. 32% marks (58 marks) is considered as qualifying marks for the category.
  • N.M.M.S. Merit list has been prepared according to the sum of marks of both the sections in the examination.
  • N.M.M.S. If there is more than one student who has the same marks to be included in the quota fixed by the district in the examination, the student who is older in age is given priority.
  • N.M.M.S. In the examination, the total quota of 5097 allotted by the Ministry of Human Resource Development for the students of the State of Gujarat has been allotted to the District General, SC, ST Among them, scholarship quota has been distributed as per PH reserve, merit list has been prepared by district wise.

Important instructions

  • The final answer key and merit list of the examination has been placed on the notice board of the website.
  • The student will be able to download the mark sheet obtained in the examination by entering the student's confirmation number and date of birth in the "Result" option given on the website.
  • In addition, the certificate for merit students can be downloaded by entering the student's confirmation number and date of birth in the "Result" option given on the website.
  • Out of all the students who get qualifying marks, only 5090 students in merit will be eligible for the scholarship as per the prescribed quota.
  • All merit students will have to open an account in a nationalized bank. Aadhaar number has to be obtained. The Aadhaar number has to be seeding with the bank account.
  • Merit students are eligible for scholarships from Std-9 if they have fixed qualifications.
  • Scholarship amount will be directly credited to the student's bank account by the Ministry of Human Resources, Government of India, Delhi. The proposal has to be verified by the school.
  • Scholarship will be available only to the students coming in merit in government school or grant aided school or local body school in Std.9
