Regarding the organization of the first and Second semester periodic assessment test for the students of classes 3 to 8 in the year 2022-23. Periodic assessment tests are conducted from time to time in Government, Granted and Independent Primary Schools of the State. The entire planning regarding the test to be held in class 3 to 8 in the first session of the academic year 2022-23 is included herewith. It is hereby requested to take the next step at your level to inform the concerned regarding this. The periodic tests are to be conducted on Saturdays as per the schedule. Through the State Project Office, Total Education, Gandhinagar, the question papers of periodic tests will be made available online to the school on the day of the test itself. Hence the test should be organized after the recess. Periodic test which will be available to the school on the same day will have to conduct the test by writing the test question papers on the board or displaying them on the screen where smart class is available in the school. The school will not insist that each student be given an individual question paper. The arrangement given here is for Gujarati medium schools. First language test will be conducted instead of Gujarati in other medium. Gujarati (second language) test will be conducted instead of Hindi in Hindi medium. The test will be conducted in Gujarati (second language) instead of English in English medium. in another medium For the rest of the subjects, the above planning will remain the same. For the first language, science, mathematics and social science subject tests, the same test papers to be given from the state level will have to be used. Independent and Granted Primary Schools may conduct other subject tests on a voluntary basis. Instructions regarding data entry of the above tests will be given by the State Project Office, Total Education, Gandhinagar.
A meeting was organized with officials and representatives of the teachers union. Accordingly, henceforth question banks will be provided to schools for periodic evaluation purpose instead of centralized periodic test. In the above meeting, a verbal presentation was made by the members of Gujarat State Primary Teachers Association and National Teachers Association to give question bank of same subject instead of giving question bank of different subject every week. A new schedule of question banks is enclosed herewith in place of the schedule. A question bank will be provided to the school every week as per the above schedule. In this regard to the schools It is hereby advised to report at the level and take further action.
